More awards success

New Stagers added to its growing collection of awards on 6th July 2014 when its production of “Oleanna” won the Best Drama award at the NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) awards.

The show fought off eleven other nominees to collect the prize at the third attempt   (our 2011 production of “Suddenly Last Summer” and 2006′s “Abigail’s Party” had previously been “Highly Commended” in that category).

Also, in a group first, we had nominations in both the Best Actor and Best Actress categories for the same show, “My Romantic History” (well done Colin Sheehan and Ailsa Wright).

This follows on from our success last year, where Joanna Dodd won the Best Female Character award for her portrayal of Eva in our production of Kindertransport,  Kindertransport also won the Flame Award and Cinderella – was awarded runner-up prize for the Best Panto award.
