Huge Thanks to Our Outgoing Committee Members!

As the curtain falls on another fantastic year for New Stagers, we want to take a moment to put the spotlight on some truly wonderful people. Our committee works tirelessly behind the scenes, often in unsung roles, to keep our group afloat.

This year, we're saying a fond farewell to a few dedicated individuals who have decided to step down from their committee roles. Their contributions have been invaluable, and while we'll miss their presence in meetings, we're incredibly grateful for everything they've done. Join us in raising a virtual glass to their hard work, passion, and countless hours given to the New Stagers family.

Emma Burley	A Grand Salute to Our Secret Ninja: Emma Burley! 🎭 Now, there's one incredibly special person we simply must shine a spotlight on: the legendary Emma Burley, our very own "Secret Ninja" (a title she apparently quite fancies!). For a frankly astonishing 18 years, Emma has been a rock-solid fixture on the New Stagers Committee, serving as our phenomenal Business Manager for 17 of them. Despite having moved a fair old distance from Wandsworth some time ago, she has been the unseen, tireless force behind so much of what we do. Those little (but absolutely vital!) things, like magically ensuring the Hall is available for rehearsals and performances, or, dare we mention, wrangling those thrilling electrical PAT tests? That's all been Emma, diligently working behind the scenes. Without her meticulous management, we quite simply wouldn't have been able to bring our shows to life at the Hall for the past two decades! Understandably, after such an epic tenure, Emma is finally taking a well-deserved bow from her committee role. While it's been a while since she last trod the boards with us, her quiet but mighty presence will be hugely missed. We're holding out hope that one day, should her travels ever bring her back this way, we might finally get to shake the hand of our beloved, elusive Business Manager! Emma, from the bottom of our dramatic hearts, thank you so, so much for your extraordinary hard work, unwavering commitment, and all those years of keeping the New Stagers show on the road. Best wishes from your very grateful family at New Stagers!
Rob Walford	Rob Walford - Outgoing Chair A huge, heartfelt thank you to Rob for his four years of dedicated service as our Chair! Since 2021, when he first co-chaired with Lauren, and then took the solo spotlight from 2022, Rob has been involved in every facet of New Stagers. He's been an incredible source of advice, excellent recommendations, and unwavering support to everyone, proving that he can do far more than just act and direct. No challenge has been too small or too big for Rob to tackle. He's faced down unruly bins, organised heroic clear-outs, and even taken on those who don't view the group as having the celebrity status he believes they should! 😉 In addition to all his official duties, we've loved seeing him on stage as an actor, getting his hands dirty with set builds, and brilliantly directing his own show. While we'll miss him at the helm, we're all incredibly excited to see what he does next. Cheers, Rob!
Katie Bryan	Katie Bryan - Outgoing Social & Events Manager A huge round of applause and a massive thank you to our incredible Social and Events Manager, Katie! Katie has been the undeniable social spirit of New Stagers since she joined the group and is the reason we are the fantastic community we are today. From organising our legendary karaoke nights to masterminding epic pub crawls and getting us to glam up for our annual awards dinners, Katie's socials were always a highlight. Thank you, Katie, for bringing so much fun, laughter, and spirit to our New Stagers family. We couldn't have done it without you!
