New Stagers raise £1450 for Wandsworth Foodbank

With live stage shows on hold, our members have been busy putting on a performance of a different kind.

Is this a trainer I see before me?

Our latest lockdown challenge started at the end of November when 19 New Stagers donned their trainers in an effort to run a combined 1000 kilometres and raise £1000 for charity before 25th December.

After just three weeks of running around areas including London, the Isle of Man and Switzerland, our participants reached our 1000km goal late last week.

While the runs carried on around the country, we continued to raise money and we are now delighted to confirm the final total as £1450, all of which will be donated to a local charity, Wandsworth Foodbank.

The local foodbank provides emergency food, support and advice to people in need across the Wandsworth Borough and we are delighted to have raised this money for such a worthy cause.

You can find out more about the wonderful work that Wandsworth Foodbank do on their website.

We would like to say a huge thanks to all those who participated and those donated to our lockdown challenge - we look forward to seeing you at a show in the very near future.
