Original writing

What is Scene Unseen?
Scene Unseen is a New Stagers production that we put on every year as part of the Wandsworth Fringe. Scene Unseen is made up of a selection of short original plays that have been written, directed and performed by New Stagers. It is a stripped back performance with minimal set, props or costume, where we let the writing, acting and directing do the talking. To date we have had four very successful runs with plays from all genres, including a musical!

How do I get involved?

We are delighted to announce that the five successful plays to be performed as part of our entry into the 2021 Wandsworth Fringe are as follows:

  • 'Benchmark' - Laura Chisholm

  • 'Book club' - Kate Bromage

  • 'Career Coach' - Ashley Malster

  • 'Slippery when Wet' - Katie Bryan

  • 'Tomayto Tomarto' - Jimmy Long

Many, many thanks to all those who submitted a play - our panelists were blown away by the quality of each of the scripts, so thanks again and kudos to our five successful writers.
