PUSS IN BOSS
22 - 31 January 2016
Running time: 200 mins
Poor Colin Miller is mortified to find that he has been left out of his late father’s Will. His only inheritance is Puss, the family cat. But during a visit to a very special shoe shop, Puss finds a pair of magic boots, which allow him to walk and talk when he wears them.

Puss sets about upgrading Colin’s status, convincing the King and the Princess that Colin is a rich Marquis, who owns a fabulous castle in the Northern Woods. In fact, the castle is the home of the Magician Oofledinkums, and the Magician does not take kindly to strangers who seem to be attempting to get him evicted.

What follows is a wild ride, as Puss, Colin, and Mrs Miller pit themselves against not just the Magician, but a clutch of villainous characters, including Snitch the Witch, and even Mrs Miller’s own dastardly daughters.

Review NODA
A traditional panto delivered with tongues planted firmly in cheek brightened up the winter gloom, giving us all a great night’s entertainment. A series of strong characters which drew heavily on panto stereotypes worked well together in a real ensemble piece. I always feel panto season is the chance for groups to just revel in the sheer joy of performance and deliver the unusual and the fantastic whilst clearly having a good time doing it.
