It is my immense pleasure to be given the opportunity to direct the Alan Bennett adaptation of the beautiful and much-loved story, Wind in the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame. It is a story which I have loved all of my life, and to be able to finally bring it to life with New Stagers is incredible. I plan for it to be a love letter to the original stop motion animation created by Cosgrove and Hall. If you are thinking of auditioning, then it really wouldn’t hurt for you to watch a few episodes or the movie, which is available for free on YouTube!
There are many roles within this play, but the story centres around four in particular, all of which can be played by any gender and of any age.
