Judy: The central character, Judy, seeks to create a perfect 1950s life as a domestic goddess to save her marriage.
Johnny: Judy's husband, who willingly participates in the experiment but begins to question it as it unfolds.
Sylvia: Judy's mother, a former feminist who disapproves of her daughter's choices and fails to understand them.
Fran: Judy's friend who enjoys 1950s style but only adopts certain elements, not a whole way of life.
