A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens
Adapted & directed by Kate Bromage

Ebenezer Scrooge is a miserly old man who despises Christmas and all things joyful. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him that three spirits will haunt him; The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
Each ghost takes Scrooge on a journey through his life, highlighting his failures and the impact of his greed on those around him. Will Scrooge learn the importance of compassion, generosity, and the Christmas spirit before it's too late or is he doomed to follow the cursed fate of his partner, Jacob Marley?

The script is a classic re-telling of the traditional Charles Dickens Classic, mixing moments of light with moments of darkness; Christmas humour and joy with a sprinkling of scary. It has been adapted directly from the book, especially for New Stagers.
