Synopsis

|
Amazingly presenting the appearance of realism, this one-act play set
on a park bench in central park, is by far one of Albee's best. Dealing
with many issues within society, Albee presents the alienation of a member
of society and how this effects others. Peter and Jerry, the only two
characters, represent opposing social class members. It is only when they
spend time in each other's company one sunday afternoon that the differences
in the men's two lives is exposed, perhaps a lot more than we would initially
imagine. Written in the 1960's, this play exposes the rejection of the
establishment, leading the audience to something suprisingly emotional
and disasterous..... |
